Sister2Sister International Outreach Ministry is joyfully celebrating 15 years of bringing wholeness to the broken lives of women and children from all walks of life. This powerful milestone reflects God’s faithfulness and the unwavering support as the Sister2Sister Children’s Home and School has gone from an idea to reality.
Since its inception, the ministry, founded by Purity Ruchugo, has provided life-changing programs for vulnerable children and families through education, nutrition, spiritual care, and safe shelter. The Sister2Sister Children’s Home & School stands as a beacon of hope in the heart of Ngong, Kenya serving as both a refuge and a launching pad for dreams. Over the past decade and a half, the ministry has not only built physical structures but also nurtured hearts, restored dignity, and empowered the next generation.
As we mark this 15-year journey, we give thanks for every donor, volunteer, and prayer warrior who has helped make this vision a reality — and we look forward with hope and determination for the work yet to be done.

The Sister2Sister Children’s Home and School is a sanctuary of safety, love, and hope for orphaned and vulnerable children. More than just a shelter, it is a place where children receive daily nourishment, education, spiritual guidance, and the care they need to grow and thrive. Your continued support makes it possible for us to serve these precious children and give them a future filled with promise and purpose.
Sister2Sister International Ministry faithfully operates a vital feeding program in Muthithi-Murang’a, a rural community near the slopes of Mt. Kenya.
This initiative regularly feeds over 200 children each day at the Full Gospel Church.
For many of these children, the food we serve is not just a meal — it is their only source of nourishment, hope, and stability in an otherwise uncertain world.
Sister2Sister invites individuals with a heart for service to join us on a transformative two-week mission trip to Kenya. These life-changing journeys to the mission fields are usually scheduled for July and October, depending on available funding. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with our outreach efforts — supporting women, children, and communities in meaningful ways. If you feel called to be part of this mission experience, please reach out to Purity to express your interest and learn more.
The Pen Pal Project is a heartfelt letter-writing initiative by Sister2Sister International Outreach Ministries that fosters meaningful connections between supporters and the women and children served by our ministry in Kenya. Through the simple yet powerful act of letter writing, participants offer encouragement, build cross-cultural friendships, and remind our sisters in Kenya that they are seen, valued, and loved.
